MES PTO Weekly Update – 11/20/2023

MES FUN FAIR RETURNS 12/1/2023

Fun Fair is less than 2 weeks away and we’re getting all hands on deck to make sure it’s a success! Thank you to all the MES families (and staff and even alumni!) who donated items to sell at our Silent Auction, Keiki Korner, drinks booths. Also thank you to all the MES families who volunteered to help out at Fun Fair.

We are still in need of drink donations to sell at our drink booths. While you take advantage of the sales for your Thanksgiving get-togethers, don’t forget pick up an extra case for Fun Fair as well.

DON’T FORGET! Wednesday 11/22, is the LAST day to pre-order your activity wristbands online.

FALL FUNDRAISER OPEN UNTIL 11/29/2023

Thank you to those who have already submitted your orders. We’re currently at around 40% of our goal! If every student sells at least 2 items we’ll reach it.

Make sure to ask your family and friends at your Thanksgiving get-togethers to help support MES PTO. Monies raised will go toward funding programs that help enrich the educational experiences of MES students and families (e.g. Family Nights, R.A.P., PTO Book Club, field trip subsidies, teacher classroom subsidies). Need help tracking your orders? We have just the thing for you here!

As a reminder, all students who sell at least 2 items will be entered into our weekly raffle. The top 3 student sells and the class who sells the most items will also win cash prizes!

Fun Fair Student Business & Important Due Dates

Student Business Booth

Ever dream of running your own business? Nowโ€™s your chance to try it out!

Sign up for a mini-booth space at the MES PTO Fun Fair. This is an exciting opportunity for MES students to showcase their entrepreneurial skills and sell their handmade crafts or small items. Students get to keep all earnings from their sales!

Here are the details:

  • Bring approximately 10 items to sell (no food or drinks).
  • The student booth fee is $5.00 per 30-minute shift.
  • This event is open to all MES students, but a parent or guardian must be present during the shift.
  • If you don’t have any products to sell but still want to experience working a booth, you can sign up to help at the PTO blinkie booth.

Your support means the world to us. Our goal is to raise $15,000, with profits going directly toward supporting MES student programs, such as Family Nights, R.A.P., PTO Book Club, field trips, and classroom stipends. There will be prizes for the top 3 students who sell the most items, as well as the class who sells the most items!

Here’s how you can get involved:

  1. Place Your Order: The fundraiser will run from NOW until 11/29/2023. Additional information regarding ordering was sent home with your child.
  2. Pick-up for the Kala Kokua items and the Nabeya Maido coupon books will be on Saturday 12/9/2023, from 9 AM – 12 PM.
  3. ๐Ÿ“† Spread the Word: Share the excitement with friends, family, and neighbors! Together we can make this fundraiser a great success.
  4. ๐Ÿค Volunteer: We will also need help with distribution on 12/9/2023, from 9 AM – 12 PM in the MES Main Parking Lot (by the office). Complete the Google Form questionnaire if you are able to help.
