March RAP

Greetings!  I hope everyone enjoyed their spring break and feels refreshed because April is here and so is our last RAP of the year!

Here is a status report on where we are today.

Last month, there were 505 students (75.9%) who completed their RAP.

  • The six classes with a 100% participation rate include Grade K, Room K1 (Mrs. Wong), Room K4 (Mrs. Muraoka); Grade 1, Room A2 (Mrs. Goo), Room A3 (Mrs. Shiroma) and Room A4 (Ms. Hazekamp); and Grade 5, Room A6 (Mrs. Isaacs).
  • There is 1 class that missed by just 1 which is Grade 3, Room A9 (Mrs. Suehiro).
  • Two classes that missed by just 2 are Grade K, Room K2 (Ms. Uyeda) and Grade 5, Room A6 (Mrs. Chinen).
  • Two classes that missed by just 3 are Grade K, Room K3 (Ms. Ahmed) and Grade 2, Room B3 (Ms. Muramoto) .

We have many dedicated MES students who went above and beyond and produced outstanding RAP reports.  You can see some of their most creative work if you visit the RAP bulletin boards that are located in front of the Kindergarten building and outside the MES library.  3D March RAP exhibits can be viewed on the bookshelves inside the MES library.  Pictures of each grade level’s best RAP of the month are also included in this email.  Congratulations to these hardworking students!

Parents, please encourage your children to complete the last RAP of the year.  This is a great opportunity to read with your child and have fun creating a RAP report that they can be proud of.    Extra RAP forms can be found at https://moanaluapto.org/reading-as-partners/.

We are looking forward to reading their reports!
