Mahalo to our MES families and community members for your continued support. With your kōkua, we are able to bring exciting events and enriching activities to our students throughout the school year.
Important Volunteer Information
In accordance with Act 156, SLH 2024, all volunteers, vendors, and contractors working at MES PTO events and activities must undergo a Hawaiʻi Department of Education (HIDOE) Harm to Student Registry screening before participating. This confidential process helps ensure a safe learning environment by preventing individuals with a history of harm to students from volunteering or working in educational settings.
- Only adults 18 years and older, not currently enrolled in a Hawaiʻi public, private, or charter school, are required to complete the screening.
- Screening needs to be completed once per school year.
- Information provided will only be used to complete the HIDOE Harm to Student Registry screening.
How to Complete Your Screening
- Fill out the MES PTO Volunteer Google Form.
- MES will reach out to you directly if additional information is needed.
Email President Kristyn Nishimoto (president@moanaluapto.org) or VP Shana Valenzuela (shana.valenzuela@k12.hi.us) if you have any questions.
Your time and commitment make all the difference. Join us as a volunteer and help us continue making MES a wonderful place to learn and grow!
