Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week

Celebrate Our Amazing Teachers & Staff!

Moanalua Elementary PTO is excited to celebrate Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week, happening May 4–8, 2026. Join us as we show our incredible teachers and staff just how much they mean to our MES ʻohana.

📅 Schedule of Events:

Monday, May 4
Kick off the week by stopping by the MES Courtyard after school (until 2:45 PM) to pick up an optional card-making kit.

Students and families are also encouraged to send thank you messages for MES teachers and staff members to president@moanaluapto.org to be shared during our Wednesday staff potluck. Pictures and videos are welcome too. Please submit messages by Tuesday, May 5, so we can include them in the slideshow.

Wednesday, May 6
Let’s treat our staff to a special potluck lunch. Our teachers and staff always look forward to the delicious dishes shared by our generous families.
Sign-up deadline: May 3, 2026
Sign up here: bit.ly/mahalo26

Friday, May 8
Wrap up the week by bringing a homemade card for your teacher to share a heartfelt “Mahalo.”

Big Mahalo to STEM Safari

Thank you to STEM Safari for coordinating an engaging and exciting Family STEM Night. Our students enjoyed exploring a variety of stations, including playing with a hoverboard, learning about Kāhuli conservation with the Bishop Museum staff, trying their hand at fingerprinting as forensic scientists, and getting an up-close look at different human organs.

Stay tuned for more details about our next Family Night coming up next month!
