MES PTO Family Painting Night

Join us for our MES PTO Family Painting Night on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.ย 

Learn more about our school’s backyard, specifically Kamananui Valley, with mo’olelo (stories) shared by Kumu Keoki, the สปฤina educator for Moanalua Gardens Foundation. Following that, our guest artist Aunty Phoebe will guide us through painting a scene from one of the legends. 

This event is open to all MES families, but spots are limited to the first 50 students. 

RSVP at bit.ly/MESPTOPAINT2026 by March 1. Kits are $5, and will include all the materials needed to complete the art project. Shoyu chicken bento and drink combos will also be available for pre-order. 

MES PTO members, a special discount code will be given in your confirmation email.

Big Mahalo to STEM Safari

Thank you to STEM Safari for coordinating an engaging and exciting Family STEM Night. Our students enjoyed exploring a variety of stations, including playing with a hoverboard, learning about Kฤhuli conservation with the Bishop Museum staff, trying their hand at fingerprinting as forensic scientists, and getting an up-close look at different human organs.

STEM Night 2026

MES Family STEM Night is back!

Join us for an exciting evening of hands-on science activities like building hovercrafts and helicopters, fingerprint forensics, and more.

Date: Thursday, Feb. 5, 2026
Time: 6โ€“8 PM (Food pre-order pick-up from 5 PM)
Location: MES Cafeteria

Cost: $5 per student (includes supplies)

Mochiko Chicken mini bento and drink combo available for presale only ($9).

Join us for Winter Family Night – 12/12/2025!

Escape the bustle of the holiday season with a cozy night in with other MES families! Bring your blanket or lawn chairs, cozy up in your holiday pajamas, and enjoy a holiday classic – Home Alone. Doors open at 5:30 PM, and we’ll start the movie shortly after 6 PM.

Bring your dinner and popcorn, or save time and purchase from the Fifty’s food truck, run by one of our MES families.

RSVP by Wednesday, December 10 at bit.ly/MESPTOWINTER2025. Limited to the first 60 families, due to space limitations in the cafeteria.

Show off your carving skills! Bring your own pumpkin or, for your convenience, we’ll have a limited number of pumpkins available for presale (limit 2 per family). We’ll have tools available for use โ€” first come, first served! Prizes will be awarded for theย Funniest,ย Scariest, andย Most Creative pumpkins!

๐Ÿ•ธย Costume Contest
Dress to impress! Come in your cutest, spookiest, or most clever costume. Weโ€™ll have categories for individuals and families.

๐Ÿ“šย MES Scholastic Book Fair
Can’t make it to the regular Book Fair hours? The MES Library will be open from 5-6 PM for shopping.

๐Ÿฝ๏ธ Food Pre-orders
Don’t want to worry about dinner? Pre-order a Nippon Bento Michiko chicken mini-bento and drink for $9.50 each. Food will be available starting from 5:30 PM.
