Keiki Rainbow Run Registration Now Open!

Join the fun and run! This yearʻs Keiki Rainbow Run will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024, from 8- 10 AM at Kakaʻako Waterfront Park. This 1.4 mile run is open to students in grades K-6.

Much more than a run, the event will:

  • Raise funds for schools’ P.E. and nutrition programs. 50% of every MES student registration will be donated to our school;
  • Be Fun – run with your schoolmates, friends, and/or family;
  • Be Memorable – take home a Finisher t-shirt;
  • Offer exciting activities in the post-run Active Zone; and
  • Allow youth finishers free admission to the Hawaii Children’s Discovery Center – valid only on the day of the run.

*Make sure to join the Moanalua Elementary School team on your online registration to send the donations our way. 

Students who register by the April 6, 2024, deadline will have their bibs distributed through school. Be sure to also check your emails and our social media feeds closer to the event for more specific day-of information for the Moanalua Elementary School team.

MAHALO TO ALL THOSE WHO HELPED WITH THE MES FUN FAIR!

Thank you to everyone who supported MES PTO with our MES Fun Fair. We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the tremendous support we received from each and every one of you.

We would like to give a great big shout out to the MES Administration, Teachers, Staff & Families for their support including:

  • Grade 1 Teachers and Families for running our Keiki Korner and Plant Sale
  • Grades K, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6; and our Special Education and IRA Teachers and Families for helping with our Grade Level Games
  • MES Alumni and Student Council for helping with our PTO food and drink booths

The MES PTO is immensely proud of the collective effort that went into making the Fun Fair a memorable experience for everyone. It’s heartwarming to witness the strength of our Surfrider community when we come together with a shared purpose.

We hope you all had fun and we hope to see you again next year!

MES FUN FAIR RETURNS TOMORROW 12/1!

Rain or shine, our MES Fun Fair will be returning tomorrow after a 4 year hiatus!

Thank you to all our MES families, staff, and community. We are overjoyed to celebrate our Fun Fair’s 50th Anniversary, and none of it would have been possible without the unwavering support of our amazing MES community. On behalf of the MES PTO, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you who have volunteered to help or donated items.

DONATIONS

🧁Bake Sale Donations: Drop off on 12/1. Curbside drop-off from 7:15-7:55 AM. Afterwards, donations can be dropped off in the cafeteria.

👕Old T-shirt & Rag Donations: Drop-off on 12/1 morning at the cafeteria stage.

GENERAL FUN FAIR INFORMATION

SILENT AUCTION

Let us help you check off items off your Christmas list. If you haven’t done so already, make sure to register on the Galabid website to bid on the amazing Silent Auction items we have up for grabs. Get a sneak peek of the items online and start bidding TODAY! They will also be available for view in the MES Library at Fun Fair.

MES FUN FAIR IS MAKING A COMEBACK!

The MES Fun Fair is returning on Friday, December 1, 2023, just in time for it’s 50th anniversary! We can’t wait to bring back our extended MES ʻohana back to celebrate. There will be inflatables activities, games, a silent auction, food and craft vendors, and more.

Be on the lookout for the Fun Fair packet that will be coming home for with your child later this month. It will have important information on pre-orders for scrips and activity wristbands, donation requests, commemorative t-shirts, and how to volunteer to help.

More information will also be available on our website at moanaluapto.org.

FALL FAMILY EVENT

Our next Family Night will be on Monday, October 30, 2023. It will be a festive gathering for the whole family.

Bring your creativity to life as you carve the perfect pumpkin masterpiece. Kids, dress to impress in your most bewitching costumes for a chance to win exciting prizes. Plus, enjoy classic fall games that will delight kids and adults alike.

FALL PTO FUNDRAISERS

Help support MES students! Our goal is to raise $15k to help directly support MES students via classroom and program stipends and MES PTO-sponsored events, like STEAM events and Family Nights.

Make sure to check your child’s folder later this month for more information on our upcoming fundraisers.
