Announcing the return of the MES Reading As Partners (RAP) Program!

We are thrilled to announce the return of our MES PTO RAP (Reading as Partners) program! RAP aims to foster a love for reading by encouraging students to explore books in and outside the classroom. This program, run by dedicated PTO volunteers with the support of our MES teachers, invites students to participate in a monthly reading challenge.

How does the RAP Program work?

Starting in September, students will receive each month’s RAP forms with a unique reading theme. The goal is simple: choose a book related to the theme and immerse yourself in its pages. Once you’ve finished reading, please fill out the RAP form and return it to your teacher before the end of the month. It’s that easy! More information can be found by clicking here.

Celebrating Reading

We believe that reading should be celebrated and shared. To promote a sense of community and inspire fellow readers, we will be displaying the RAP reports on the bulletin board outside the library. This will allow every student the opportunity to explore a wide array of books and discover what their peers have been reading. Selected RAP reports may also be showcased on our MES PTO social media accounts, so keep an eye out for that extra recognition!

Your Privacy Matters

We love to showcase student work but will only do so with parental permission. Parents may complete the Google Form link to give permission for the entire year or sign the form each month. Work may be displayed on the MES school bulletin boards and/or MES PTO website and social media accounts.

Get Ready to Collect Reading Prizes!

For every student who reads a book and completes their RAP form, we have exciting reading prizes waiting to be awarded! Let your love for reading unlock new adventures and rewards. Click here to find the RAP forms.

Join our MES community of readers, and let’s embark on a journey of imagination and knowledge together. Happy reading!
