November RAP

Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  The Let’s RAP Program has much to be thankful for, all because of the effort put in by the students, teachers, parents, and the Super RAP committee.  We continue to have a very high percentage rate each month.  This month it was 93% with 592 out of 634 students doing their RAP.  There were 17 classes who had 100% participation.

Congratulations to the MES Robotics Team Blue!

CONGRATULATIONS!!! To the MES Robotics Team Blue “Blue Nindriods”. On Saturday December 3rd, they competed in First LEGO League Hawaii State Finals at the Blaisdell Exhibition Hall. Out of a field of 42 competitors from schools all over the State Team Blue distinguished themselves by winning the award for “Best Mechanical Design”.

Thank you to both Team Blue and Team Silver for many hours of designing, programming and testing. Big “Mahalo’s” to our MES Robotics Coaches Merri Wada-Tanji, Tiffany Chinen, Matrix Dumlao, and Moses Silva.  Their instruction, guidance, patience, and perseverance have molded our robotics team members into experience tech savvy goal driven students.  Thank you to MES PCNC Suzie Okamura for her support and encouragement and to Brittany Kanetake & Lori Arai-Shiraishi. Special thank you to Principal Lynda Galera and the MES administration for their continued support of the MES Robotics program through the years.  Extended Thank you the MESPTO-STEM Enrichment programs for donating 2 additional LEGO Mindstorms EV3 Robotics Kits.  Last but not least, “Mahalo’s” to the Team Blue & Team Silver families for their support throughout the 2016 LEGO Robotics season.
