We’ll be freshening up paint on buildings and sidewalks, laying new sod on the playground, and adding greenery around campus. It’s a great way to come together as a community and make MES shine.

All ages are welcome, but students must be supervised by a parent or guardian. We also encourage all adult volunteers to complete the MES or MES PTO HIDOE Harm to Student Registry Screening Form.

Important Dates

• 9/5, 7:15 AM – PTO Breakfast, MES Cafeteria. Start your morning off right and meet our MES administrators and PTO members. Meals must be paid for before the day of the event.
• 9/11, 6–7 PM – MES PTO Meeting, MES Library
• 9/14, 9 AM–1 PM – MES PTO Dave & Buster’s Social (RSVP required, limited to the first 100 members)
• 9/18, 6–7 PM – Fun Fair Planning Meeting, MES Library
• 9/20, 8:30–11:30 AM – Campus Beautification, MES Courtyard. Join us for painting, landscaping, and plenty of aloha. RSVP at bit.ly/2025MEScampus.

Fall Fundraisers

• Foodland Give Aloha (9/1–9/30): Donate up to $249 to MES PTO at Foodland, Sack N Save, or Foodland Farms using code 77664, and Foodland will match a portion of your donation.
• Habilitat Christmas Trees: Shop online at habilitat.com/hawaii-christmas-trees-fundraiser/ and choose Moanalua Elementary to support PTO.
• Gift Cards: McDonald’s coupon books, Dave & Buster’s Power Cards, and 808 Car Wash gift cards available later this month—perfect for holiday giving.

Volunteers Needed
All MES PTO volunteers must complete the HIDOE Harm to Student Registry screening once per school year. Submit the MES Volunteer Form to the office or complete the Volunteer Google Form.

Fun Fair Updates
Our Fun Fair is coming on Friday, 11/21! Presale order information will go out later this month. We’re also seeking Silent Auction Donations—submit at bit.ly/4nY5PNP.

This September, support MES PTO with a simple donation — no selling required!

During Foodland’s annual Give Aloha campaign, Maika‘i members can donate up to $249 to the MES PTO at any Foodland, Sack N Save, or Foodland Farms location. Just use our school code 77664 at checkout, and Foodland will match a portion of your donation!

It’s back! The 2nd Annual MES PTO Breakfast is happening on Friday, September 5th at 7:15 AM — and we hope to see you there!

This special morning has quickly become one of our favorite school traditions. It’s a chance to sit down with your keiki, share a hearty breakfast and connect with our wonderful admin team and fellow PTO families. Nothing starts the day quite like good food and great company!

Here’s how to join the fun:
✔️ Buy your adult meal ticket at the front office before Sept. 5th ($3.50, cash only, exact change).
✔️ Bring your receipt with you on event day.
✔️ Find the PTO tables in the back of the café and enjoy the morning together!
