Join us at the MES In-Person Meet and Greet!

We’re looking forward to welcoming back all our MES Surfrider families at the Moanalua Elementary School Meet & Greet on Thursday, July 31, 2025!

Come visit us at the MES PTO table in the MES Courtyard from 4:30-5:30 PM. We’ll have members available to help with membership sign-up, t-shirts pre-order distribution, and to answer any questions you may have about our upcoming activities and how you can help. While there, make sure to vote for the movie you want to see at our upcoming Family Movie Night on Thursday, August 14.

Need dinner? We’ll have pizza slice and drink combos for sale for $5. Order online by July 30, at bit.ly/4lzoP3m to guarantee your order. Limited additional combos will be available for purchase at the event – cash only.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

Want to help welcome families and support our school community? We’re looking for friendly faces to help us staff the MES PTO Welcome Tables at our various Welcome Back events, including: Welcome Back Teacher/Staff Luncheon (July 31), In-Person Meet and Greet (July 31), and Kindergarten Workshops (August 5 and August 6). MES School Supply Bundle Pick-Up Reminder

If you ordered a School Supply Bundle, don’t forget to stop by and pick it up during our scheduled distribution days.

Pick-Up Details:

  • Dates: Monday, July 21 to Wednesday, July 23
  • Time: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM
  • Location: MES Cafeteria

To help keep your child’s supplies organized, consider using personalized name labels from Mabel’s Labels. Search for Moanalua Elementary School and a portion of the purchase helps support MES PTO.

Fun Fair Planning Has Begun

School hasn’t started yet, but we’re already getting ready for one of the biggest events of the year — the MES Fun Fair, happening on Friday, November 21, 2025, from 2:00 to 8:00 PM.

This event is a huge part of our school community, and we need all hands on deck to help make it a success. If you’re interested in volunteering, please complete our interest form at bit.ly/44bXE7s.

Our first planning meeting will be held on Thursday, July 17, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM in the MES Library.

School is still about a month away but get a jump start before the Back to School rush!

1. RENEW YOUR MES PTO MEMBERSHIP by completing the Google Form at bit.ly/MESPTOmember. Your $35 dues cover the entire family for the year and grant access to special MES PTO discounts and early information about MES PTO events. Sign-up by 7/31, and you’ll also get a discount to use for T-shirt orders placed by 8/2. Questions? Email membership@moanaluapto.org.

2. TSHIRT REFRESH: Order new MES T-shirts for Moanalua Mondays and field trips at bit.ly/MESPTOtshirt. Orders placed by Thursday 7/17, will be available for pick-up at the Meet & Greet on 7/31. Questions? Email ptotshirts@moanaluapto.org.

3. SCHOOL SUPPLY BUNDLES VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!: This is a great chance to meet other MES families. We need volunteers for bundle packing on 7/19, 9 AM-noon, and for bundle pick-up from 7/21-7/23, from 3-5 PM in the MES Cafe. Students can help with an adult. Sign up at bit.ly/MES2025supplyhelp. 4. DONATIONS WELCOME. Prime Day is coming up from 7/8-7/11! Check out our MES PTO Wish List at https://a.co/3KkJkOD for supplies that will be used for RAP, Moanalua Moves, Fun Fair, and more. Monetary donations can also be made at moanaluapto.org/donate/.

5. FUN FAIR PLANNING MEETING: Save the Date – our MES Fun Fair is scheduled for Friday 11/21. We’re already starting to prepare and our first Fun Fair Planning Meeting will be on Thursday 7/17. Celebrating a Fantastic School Year!

What an amazing school year it has been! As we reflect on all the incredible moments we’ve shared, it’s hard to believe we’re already approaching the end. The memories we’ve created this year will last a lifetime, and we couldn’t have done it without your unwavering support!

Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to everyone who has made this year a success:
