Help us celebrate our incredible Moanalua Elementary School teachers and staff during Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week, happening May 5 through May 9, 2025. This is our chance to show gratitude for the people who go above and beyond for our students every day.

Families can participate by supporting daily activities, providing donations, and helping with event coordination. Every contribution helps make this week special for our staff.

Our Teacher and Staff Appreciation Potluck on Wednesday, May 7, is always a favorite, with lots of yummy treats. (NOTE: Please label food items and if it needs to be kept warm or refrigerated. Please send all food items in disposable containers, as they will not be returned.)

Our monthly Thursday MES PTO Meeting has been rescheduled for Tuesday, April 15, 2025, from 6:00 to 7:00 PM. At this meeting, we’ll be:

• Concluding nominations for the School Year 2025-2026 Executive Board
• Finalizing plans for Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week
• Beginning preparations for the 2025–2026 school year

In-person and virtual attendance options are available, and students are welcome to join. Light refreshments will be provided.

Before the meeting, we will also host a volunteer orientation for our upcoming Aloha Aina Day in partnership with the Kokua Hawaii Foundation. Orientation for both adults and students will be held from 5:00 to 6:00 PM.

We are actively recruiting volunteers for Aloha Aina Day on Saturday, April 26, 2025—a great opportunity to support our school and the environment.

Moanalua Elementary School is partnering with Kokua Hawaiʻi Foundation for the 3R School Recycling Event. This is a great opportunity to reduce waste, recycle responsibly, and raise funds for our school.

Let’s work together to keep our community clean and support MES!

Get ready for summer with our MES PTO Spring Fundraiser from April 7 to April 25, 2025. This is a great opportunity to help raise funds for MES PTO programs and events that support ALL MES students.

Our goal is to raise $12k, or just 2-3 items per student. Monies raised go toward funding classroom stipends for teachers, field trip stipends, Campus Beautification events, Moanalua Moves!, R.A.P., and more!

Cool off at our Kickoff Event:

• Date: Thursday, April 3, 2025
• Time: 2:15 – 3:30 PM (following the Aloha Run)
• Location: MES Courtyard
• Special Treat: Purchase a 12 oz Jamba Juice for $6 (cash only).

Items for Sale:

• Jamba Juice BOGO Cards – $12 each
• Dave & Buster’s Power Cards – $10 and $20 denominations

Prizes and Pick-Up Details:

• Prizes will be awarded when we meet fundraising goals, as well as to the highest individual and class sellers.
• Card Distribution: Cards will be sent home with students on Tuesday, May 13, 2025. Families who prefer to pick up in person should email fundraising@moanaluapto.org to arrange for pick up at the MES PTO meeting on May 8, 2025, or at the office starting from May 12, 2025.
