MES PTO OCTOBER UPDATES

OCTOBER PTO MEETING

Our next PTO meeting will be held *VIRTUALLY* via Webex on Thursday, October 5, 2023, from 6-7 PM. RSVP at forms.gle/KVrfLu31wvMQBuvZA or email president@moanaluapto.org for the link.

MES FUN FAIR IS MAKING A COMEBACK!

The MES Fun Fair is returning on Friday, December 1, 2023, just in time for it’s 50th anniversary! We can’t wait to bring back our extended MES Ê»ohana back to celebrate. There will be inflatables activities, games, a silent auction, food and craft vendors, and more.

Be on the lookout for the Fun Fair packet that will be coming home for with your child later this month. It will have important information on pre-orders for scrips and activity wristbands, donation requests, commemorative t-shirts, and how to volunteer to help.

More information will also be available on our website at moanaluapto.org.

FALL FAMILY EVENT

Our next Family Night will be on Monday, October 30, 2023. It will be a festive gathering for the whole family.

Bring your creativity to life as you carve the perfect pumpkin masterpiece. Kids, dress to impress in your most bewitching costumes for a chance to win exciting prizes. Plus, enjoy classic fall games that will delight kids and adults alike.

FALL PTO FUNDRAISERS

Help support MES students! Our goal is to raise $15k to help directly support MES students via classroom and program stipends and MES PTO-sponsored events, like STEAM events and Family Nights.

Make sure to check your child’s folder later this month for more information on our upcoming fundraisers.

Sign Up for MES PTO Text Alerts

The MES PTO is now on Remind, a communication app for real-time notifications on any device. We’ll be using Remind to send alerts on upcoming deadlines or quick links to other important PTO information. With Fun Fair just around the corner, we hope these reminders will help busy families keep track of what they need to know — from volunteering their time or donating much-needed items to attending our planning meetings.

MES Fun Fair is returning for its 50th anniversary on 12/1/2023. We’re excited to announce that the MES Fun Fair is making a comeback to celebrate its 50th anniversary! Calling all food and craft vendors, as well as anyone with contacts in PA (Public Address) and lighting companies. If you’re interested, please email us at funfair@moanaluapto.org.

R.A.P. Sheets Due 9/29/2023. Calling all students! Don’t forget to submit your R.A.P. (Reading As Partners) sheets. Complete the R.A.P. sheet on a biography of your choice (or free choice for grades K-1) and receive a small prize. To learn more, visit bit.ly/MESPTORAP.

Mahalo to our campus beautification volunteers! We would like to express our gratitude to all the volunteers who contributed to the beautification of our campus. Be sure to check out the fresh coat of paint on the courtyard benches, the new plants by the cafeteria, and the garden ready for planting! There’s also a new fence around the tree roots on the playground to prevent students from tripping. Check out more pictures from the event on the MES PTO Facebook and Instagram pages.

Fun Fair Planning Meeting

Join us on Thursday, September 21, 2023 for the Fun Fair Planning Meeting. This meeting is open to all who are interested in helping out with the organization of our upcoming Fun Fair event on December 1, 2023. MES Fun Fair Planning Meeting

During the meeting, we will discuss and organize the Fun Fair’s various activities, attractions, and logistics. Your ideas and input are valuable in making this event a memorable one for our community.

Join us for next exciting meeting to plan the upcoming MES Fun Fair! The meeting will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at 6 PM in the MES Library. We encourage all volunteers and interested parties to attend.
