Feb 9th Keiki Great Aloha Run & March 16th Keiki Rainbow Run Registration

Happy New Year MES Ohana!

Here are TWO great opportunities to stay healthy in 2019 and help our school!

1) Keiki Great Aloha Run on February 9 ($20) at Ala Moana Beach Park – Online Registration now available. See details below.

2) Keiki Rainbow Run on March 16 ($15 keiki, $10 adults) at UH Manoa – Lower Campus

Registration forms will be sent home and Health & Fitness Committee will have packet pick-up available at MES Cafeteria.

Start Time: 7:30 am (Program begins at 7:10am)

The Keiki Great Aloha Run is a part of the Great Aloha Run.  

In 2018, $33,000+ was raised to support nutrition education and physical activities for elementary school children.  A healthy fundraiser for healthy kids, healthy families and healthy schools. See you there!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING THE 2019 KEIKI GREAT ALOHA RUN

NEW DATE: Saturday, February 9, 2019

NEW TIME: Run starts at 7:30 AM (Program begins at 7:10 AM)

NEW COURSE: 1 MILE RUN ALONG BEACH ROAD WITHIN THE PARK (the run takes place on the road between the Magic Island Concession stand and McCoy Pavilion).

NEW LOCATION: ALA MOANA BEACH PARK (Meet at Picnic Site 11 & 12, Ewa side of concession (located across from the Magic Island parking lot)

NEW PARKING: Magic Island Parking, Beach Road Parking (at both entrances, but not in the middle along the course).

SAME GREAT PURPOSE:

To create a safe and fun opportunity for kids to run and experience the joy of a HEALTHIER HAWAII!

To raise funds for your school! $15 of every registration will be donated to your school of choice to support it’s P.E. and nutrition education programs! (To qualify, a minimum of 10 participants per school must register in order to qualify for the donation. Schools with less than 10 registrations will have their $15 per athlete given to the General P.E./Nutrition Fund).

HOW TO REGISTER:

Registration Deadline: January 31st at Midnight (Hawaii time)

Registration is available ONLINE ONLY in 2019 – REGISTER NOW!

o    Register as a Keiki (Age 5-12), Adult, or Little Runner (Little Runner registrations will not be counted towards the school donation program).

o    Donation of $20 per runner plus a online registration fee of $3.43 per runner

PACKET PICK UP:

Sunday, February 3, 2019 – Plan on picking up your packet on Sunday, February 3rd, 2019 at The Running Room, 819 Kapahulu Avenue, Honolulu (10-12pm for individuals and 12-2 for school coordinators).

RACE DAY INFORMATION:

Race day, parking, and course information will be sent separately to your email address following your registration.
