February RAP
We’re on a roll here. RAP continues to do very well. This month there were 15 classes with 100% participation. Participation rate was 92.6% with 584 out of 631 doing their RAP. This month there were 15 classes with 100% participation. Great job students and teachers! The prize for the month was a pencil but thanks to generous donors we were able to supplement with unique extra prizes. Hope the students appreciated them.
Here is the breakdown of the 100% classes:
*Â Grade PS/K:Â Rooms K5 (Ms. Wong); K1 (Mrs. Teruya); and K4 (Mrs. Muraoka)
*Â Grade 1:Â Rooms A2 (Mrs. Goo); A3 (Mrs. Shiroma); A4 (Mrs. Oribio); and A5 (Mrs. Lau) — 100% Grade
*Â Grade 2:Â Room B3 (Mrs. Imai).
*Â Grade 4:Â Rooms B7 (Mrs. Arai-Shiraishi); B9 (Ms. Boushey); and B10 (Ms. Kanetake)
*Â Grade 5:Â Rooms A1 (Ms. Yamashiro) and B1 (Mrs. Chinen)

There are two more months to go for the Let’s RAP Program. We really appreciate the enthusiasm that some of the students show for the program by starting the next month’s RAP as soon as they receive the coupon. Special recognition go out to the students who take the time and effort to do 3D projects which are on display in the Library. Drop by and see the RAP Bulletin Boards too. Our students do great work.

This event is open to PTO members & their families. Please print this email & present it at the PTO check-in table at the event. Parents and/or guardians are required to sign-in with accompany student participants for the event and remain within the vicinity of the Moanalua Elementary School Cafeteria. ABSOLUTELY NO CHILD DROP-OFF’S.  The event will showcase VEX IQ robots, VEX IQ Crossover Challenge demonstrations, and other robotic activities. Participants will be able to operate & experience driving robots.

Volunteers Needed for the Book Fair 4/13 to 4/21
The Happy Camper Book Fair is coming soon to Moanalua Elementary School! We are looking for volunteers to help with setting up, cashier, stocking the shelves, monitoring the fair, picking up books from the warehouse and clean up.Â
The Book Fair will begin on Thursday, April 13 and end on Friday, April 21. The fair will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 pm everyday except on Friday, April 21, we will be closing the fair at 3:00 p.m..Â
Volunteering is a great way to meet new families! We hope to see you there!  Sign-ups can also be done on the bulletin board in front of the library.  If you have any questions, please email lori_tonaki@notes.k12.hi.us.
