Join us at the MES In-Person Meet and Greet!

We’re looking forward to welcoming back all our MES Surfrider families at the Moanalua Elementary School Meet & Greet on Thursday, July 31, 2025!

Come visit us at the MES PTO table in the MES Courtyard from 4:30-5:30 PM. We’ll have members available to help with membership sign-up, t-shirts pre-order distribution, and to answer any questions you may have about our upcoming activities and how you can help. While there, make sure to vote for the movie you want to see at our upcoming Family Movie Night on Thursday, August 14.

Need dinner? We’ll have pizza slice and drink combos for sale for $5. Order online by July 30, at bit.ly/4lzoP3m to guarantee your order. Limited additional combos will be available for purchase at the event – cash only.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

Want to help welcome families and support our school community? We’re looking for friendly faces to help us staff the MES PTO Welcome Tables at our various Welcome Back events, including: Welcome Back Teacher/Staff Luncheon (July 31), In-Person Meet and Greet (July 31), and Kindergarten Workshops (August 5 and August 6). School is still about a month away but get a jump start before the Back to School rush!

1. RENEW YOUR MES PTO MEMBERSHIP by completing the Google Form at bit.ly/MESPTOmember. Your $35 dues cover the entire family for the year and grant access to special MES PTO discounts and early information about MES PTO events. Sign-up by 7/31, and you’ll also get a discount to use for T-shirt orders placed by 8/2. Questions? Email membership@moanaluapto.org.

2. TSHIRT REFRESH: Order new MES T-shirts for Moanalua Mondays and field trips at bit.ly/MESPTOtshirt. Orders placed by Thursday 7/17, will be available for pick-up at the Meet & Greet on 7/31. Questions? Email ptotshirts@moanaluapto.org.

3. SCHOOL SUPPLY BUNDLES VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!: This is a great chance to meet other MES families. We need volunteers for bundle packing on 7/19, 9 AM-noon, and for bundle pick-up from 7/21-7/23, from 3-5 PM in the MES Cafe. Students can help with an adult. Sign up at bit.ly/MES2025supplyhelp. 4. DONATIONS WELCOME. Prime Day is coming up from 7/8-7/11! Check out our MES PTO Wish List at https://a.co/3KkJkOD for supplies that will be used for RAP, Moanalua Moves, Fun Fair, and more. Monetary donations can also be made at moanaluapto.org/donate/.

5. FUN FAIR PLANNING MEETING: Save the Date – our MES Fun Fair is scheduled for Friday 11/21. We’re already starting to prepare and our first Fun Fair Planning Meeting will be on Thursday 7/17. RSVP at bit.ly/4e7COdV. Webex link will be provided for those who cannot attend in person. Light refreshments will be provided. Students are welcome to attend with an adult. Questions? 6. IN-PERSON MEET AND GREETS: MES PTO members will be at various Back to School Meet and Greet events to answer questions and assist with T-shirt preorders, including the MES Teacher and Staff Welcome Lunch on 7/31, MES IN-PERSON Meet and Greet on 7/31, and the Kindergarten Workshops on 8/5 and 8/6. Join Moanalua Elementary School PTO for Student Enrichment and Community Engagement

The Moanalua Elementary School Parent-Teacher Organization is a volunteer group of family members, MES faculty and staff, and community members working together to enhance the educational experience of our students and build a stronger school community.

Students Enjoy Enriching Experiences

Through member dues and various fundraisers, the MES PTO provides key funding for popular programs both inside and outside the classroom at all grade levels, such as:

  • Classroom Stipends
  • Grade-Level Programs: Field trip admission and bus fees
  • Drama and Art Programs: Drama, MES Chorus, MES Orchestra
  • PTO Family Nights: STEM, Painting, Pumpkin Carving, Movie Night
  • Literacy Programs: Reading as Partners, PTO Book Club
  • Campus Beautification: Including the PTO Gardening Club

How to Join

Dues are just $35 per family for the year!

School Supply Drop Off

Have more questions about MES PTO? Stop by our table at the MES School Supply Drop-offs on Friday, 8/2, and Tuesday, 8/6, from 8 AM to noon. MES PTO members will be on hand to answer any questions you may have about our different MES PTO programs. On Tuesday 8/6, we will also have sample sizes available of our new MES t-shirts (Note: T-shirts will NOT be available for purchase on these days).

Virtual MES Meet and Greet

Don’t forget to log in to the MES Virtual Meet and Greet on Monday, 8/5, from 5:30-6:55 PM. We’ll be sharing more about how MES PTO helps support MES and its students. Check out the school website for more information.
